Slaves living conditions

Slavery indicates the social condition of slaves, who is legally the property of another person.

Slaves must obey all orders since their birth (or their catching), until their death.

He can be buy by him oxners.

It's necessary for slaves to have a legal status, determined by rules and laws according to the country and the period considered.

The living condition of the slave during the Roman's Republic change according to his assigment.

-The rural slave has to execute the agricultural work.He must lives whith animals, in garners, in painful conditions.

He must endure bad treatment. He has more luck to  return to his freedom thanks to his work

-The slave who live in the city is generally better provided.

In fact, in the modest house, it's necessary for the slaves to have good relationship with his owner, and be a part of the family.The numerous tasks allow him to have a specialization: secratary, bookkeper, teacher.The slaves must go to shop for the house.

-The public slave belong to the state. He must build roads, maintain them and take charge of all the public building. He doesn't have the merit deserving of his work.
